We have 5 dedicated wards for inpatient care totaling 140 beds. These include the newly renovated Male and Female wards along with a Palliative Care ward and 2 Cancer Ambulant wards. With an annual intake of about 1700 patients, the wards remain full and busy most of the time.
The general wards were carefully designed keeping both aesthetics and functionality in mind, providing for relative privacy and constant monitoring at the same time. Patients are reviewed daily, monitored for toxicity, pain control, and nutritional status and for inpatient chemotherapy administration. The Ambulant wards as the name suggests, mainly houses those patients coming in from remote areas of Sarawak for long radiotherapy treatment and do not require intensive monitoring.
