Dear Devi C.R.Beena,

I am pleased to inform you that accreditation approval has been granted for the First Asian Congress on Cancer in the Older patients (event code CME-0785), by the Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe (ACOE).

Approval by ACOE permits you to advertise the fact that conference has achieved CME accreditation approval, which means that the programme has been recognised a high quality value both from a scientific and didactic point of view.

As you know, the Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe requests that organisers proceed with an evaluation of all events that have been granted accreditation. We would then appreciate it if, within three months after the conference, you could submit your evaluation report based on the feedback from the participants in the event. You can either download the form from the ACOE website ( or fill it in online directly.

A request for European endorsement of ACOE accreditation has been submitted to the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) clearing house, the EACCME. ACOE has recommended that the event be granted 11 European CME credits.

The EACCME endorsement permits to get European recognition of CME credits within the different European states who have agreed to participate in the European accreditation system. You will also be interested to know that, following an agreement of mutual recognition between the UEMS and the AMA (American Medical Association) European CME credit become valid credit towards the Physicians Recognition Award (PRA) in the United States.

You can expect receiving confirmation of the UEMS/EACCME endorsement of ACOE accreditation within the next three weeks.

You can find on the ACOE website a template for a certificate of attendance. Please note that you are kindly requested to include both the ACOE and the UEMS logos on the certificate. The UEMS statement and UEMS logo can only be used once the EACCME endorsement has been confirmed.

Should you have any query arising from the above, please do not hesitate to contact me.

With Best Wishes,

Nicola Pellegrino
Administration Coordinator
